Ila the Berectay. Reply that our correspondence on the subject in '86 was with the Lardant Trades Marks Committee & not with Mr. Maigatter the Comptroller appears to have lost sight of this. We are unable to trace him.

With reference to Lord Granville's Despatch No. 18 of 17th March, 1886, relative to the application for registration of a trade mark on behalf of Mr. Maigatter, I have the honour to inform you that a letter sent by the Colonial Secretary to Mr. Maigatter was returned by the Post Office Authorities as the addressee could not be found at the address given, namely, Billiter Square Buildings, London.
2. If Mr. Maigatter's present address is known, will you be good enough to cause the enclosed letter to be forwarded to him.
